== Notes ==

1. Goals
 * Keep the same top level goal as the pre-clinical meeting
 * Investigate strong focussing without use of strong magnets for  a laser-driven system
 * Review SOTA and determine collaboration avenues -> White paper

 - These are to be edited and shared on the planning doc
 - Ken will share the doc via Box as well

2. Support

 - IoP Plasma can write a letter of support and £200 if needed
 - Support from HEPP, PAB and Medical Physics 
  - This means we have enough support to book a room for free at IOP
 - Support from Learned Society of Wales
  - Need Mike Charlton to apply for this since he is the fellow. Can get ~£1000 but needs application
   - Deadline: 25th June
   - Outcome: 26th July
 - Wales-Scotland and Scotland-Ireland are sources of funding for collaborations between the countries

3. Fix the Date

 - Trying week of the 7th Sep
 - IOP has an event 8th-10th so will have to be Monday or Friday
 - Aim to fix this date by the end of April
 - If we go somewhere else must be a big hub for transport to allow international visitors


4. Programme and Speakers

 - Focus on ion focussing since only one day, but keep an eye on electrons and positrons to avoid missing interesting applicable research
 - Start with a high-level overview of magnet solutions
 - Then, an overview of plasma terminology to keep definitions consistent
 - Overview of each technique
 - Then in the afternoon, discussion and more focussed presentations
 - Speakers listed in the planning doc
  - Tell the speakers some questions so they are prepared beforehand
  - Tell them the plasma definitions so everyone is consistent

 - **KL**: Share the planning doc on Box
 - **All**: Identify more people
 - **All**: Identify which os those should be speakers and for specific things like wrapping up or overviews etc
